Random & Thank You

Today I was going to post on the a skincare line that threw me a curve ball, but that will have to wait until tomorrow. I still want to chat with you about a few random things:
1)Which tv shows do you watch but refuse to acknowledge it in public? It's ok to share here, no one can see you lol.
2) Any products out there that you are thinking of purchasing?
I know you didn't watch Harlem Heights, so I won't ask..lol
I have another post below featuring an online mag. that I enjoy. I hope you enjoy it too.

Thank you to all of my blog "followers" and you tube subscribers!

**Edited to include my answers..lol**
I have tuned into the following shows G's to Gents, Baldwin Hills (yeah I said it..lol), the Hills, The City (don't watch this anymore though I can't stomach Whitney's diction), Candy Girls (I only watched an episode or two) and that hew MTV show Taking the Stage ( I know I know but it remids me of old school Fame lol) Ok I think I better stop there. If anyone was on Twitter last night you know about another one but let's keep that on the Hush Hush.
I should mention that I have only tuned in

Getting My Fix!

I just love a good magazine. I curl up with my favorite mag and take my time as I examine each article. There is just something about a good magazine that get's my mind racing and creative juices bubbling. It also gives me just the right dose of fashion, entertainment, love and serious social issues to ponder. However some of my favorite mags only come out once a month so I often go through these periods where I rehash old articles hoping to find a morsel of information I may have missed during my previous sessions.
Well wait no more because Clutch online magazine is here to scratch my itch. It is a chic online mag. that is updated frequently enough to prevent my mid-month manic episodes from occurring.
Check it out and let me know what you think.

First time for everything

(the color is fading from the bottle)
I was riding high, posting reviews of great Karen's Body Beautiful products and then it happened, I tried her conditioning shampoo! I hate when a product has all the right ingredients (check the ingredients below) but it still doesn't work for me. The conditioning shampoo is supposed to moisturize and clean dry or chemically treated hair without stripping the hair. It is true that my hair didn't feel stripped but it certainly didn't feel clean. It almost felt as if it added a layer of crud on my hair. It felt very rubbery but I wanted to condition my hair and let it dry to see if perhaps I was overreacting. Nope, I wasn't overreacting because when my hair was dry it felt and it had absolutely no shine. It was as if the conditioner couldn't get past the layer of residue that the shampoo left.

The next day I had to wash my hair again, but that time I used the KBB hair bar. Just as I reported before, the hair bar made my hair feel clean and silky. I would never purchase the KBB conditioning shampoo again. While it didn't work for me, I am curious to know if it worked for any of you.

I purchased Dr. Ian Smith's books Fat Smash and 4 Day diet. I purchased the 4 Day diet on Friday because the Fat Smash book was sold out. On Saturday I found the Fat smash at another book store so I will do that 90 day plan first. Today is day two which is still detox.
I will keep you all posted.

So did you watch The #1 Ladies' Detective Agency featuring Jill Scott? I thought it was done really well. That is a series that I would watch. Is it going to be a series?????

Beauty Banter

Today I am going to pick up Dr. Ian's Fat Smash diet book and I will use my Borders 40% off discount. There is nothing like a good discount to set my Friday off right.
Water Challenge
I didn't do so well with my water intake this week. I will try to do double duty this weekend.

Are you watching Making the Band? If you have been following the show, especially from previous seasons we are not getting a first-hand view of an artist unraveling. What’s happened to Que? Is the pressure from the industry, his family and himself just too much to bear? Or is this the start of a full fledged breakdown? Or is he just misunderstood?

What fun things will you all do this weekend?

Pass the Shimmy

If you are interested in adding a little pizzazz to your look, then you should check out Shimmy Shea. It is a 100% natural shea based moisturizer infused with oils and minerals that give your skin a beautiful shimmery glow. When I first heard about this product I was thinking it would be shea butter with glitter packed in the container, but such is not the case. The fine subtle minerals blend in perfectly with the shea butter. You will not feel a single abrasive edge as you would if glitter had been used in this product.
Shimmy Shea is perfect for accenting your shoulders collar bone or any area that you think needs a little glow. Available in four shades you can select your perfect hue for only $25.00.
Egyptian Gold is pictured above and on my hand in the picture on the left.

You can get your shimmy on by going to shimmy shea.

Popping Urge

Yesterday I mentioned that I am doing my best to not pop a pimple on my forehead. I am using the new pimple pen blocker by Clearasil, a product designed to fight pimples with salicylic acid . It comes in a nifty lip gloss like tube which makes the gooey product easy to dispense. After two applications on one day I did notice that the pimple was smaller so I guess this little baby is working.
I won this on BGG’s site but I see the price listed as $9.59 online. I’m almost certain that you can find this product at a cheaper price.
Do you have any at home quick solutions to fight pimples?

Let's Chat

Hello All
I don't have access to the pics of the product I wanted to talk about today so I will post on all of that stuff tomorrow.
I can tell you that two ripe pimples have formed on my forehead but instead of using my usual bust and destroy method, I am using a new product to see how long it will take for the pimples to disappear.

Seriously is anyone watching Harlem Heights? If so, how happy are you that Ashley told Christian that he can kick rocks? (not in those words exactly but you catch me drift).
