Finding a match & Q&A

On the lips

The next big topic for today is my new lip balm named Just A Kiss by Hpospatreatments I just have to gently slide this balm on my lips and it melts right into my lips. My lips feel hydrated and nourished and they don't look greasy just like the web site states. Check out the ingredients -shea butter, honey, virgin coconut oil and avocado oil. I'm not even done yet because this $5.00 balm also has spf which we spoke about earlier this summer. I love knowing that my lips are protected as they glisten. I will be reviewing more products from this natural company very soon.
Q&A

In the comment section yesterday Brownee mentioned that she is looking for a good protein treatment other than Aveda/Fekkai. I do like the MOP protein treatment but I have since moved on the the fortifying hair mask by Shescentit (smells good) as well as the Moisture Protein conditioner from Hairveda.com. I have heard great things about Methi Sativa Protein Tea (also from Hairveda) and I do own it but I have yet to use it. As described on the hairveda site "Methi Sativa, is a unique blend of infused herbs, botanics and wheat protein, was made to restore lost protein to your hair and strengthen it over time. " Another big one on the market is the Aphogee 2 minute Keratin reconstructor. I used this product once and I thought it was ok but I plan on trying it again which is why I didn't post on it yet.
Everyone please weigh in and list your favorite protein treatments.

Thanks for reading everyone.

Wow! Who would have thought that Bing had an identical twin already in MAC's permament line. Interestiiiing. Love that Bing is a matte. It goes on beautifully and is quite build-able.

That lippie sounds divine. My Mom has made one with similar ingredients minus the avocado oil. Gotta try that!

Regarding the protein treatments, I've used the emergencee by nexxus in the past & that saved my hair years ago dramactially. But its expensive (about $50). So I started using the Sesbastian protein treatment (about $29). That worked well too, both are heavy duty treatments so I always used a moisturzing condish after. I've also used the Aphogee Deep protein reconstructer but my stylists always complained about the smell lol(smells bad but I got used to it b/c it worked). I think out of these 3 I like the Sebastiains 1. It leaves the HARD when under the dryer but it helped my hair tremendously & worked just as good as Aphogee & nexxus. But now I like to use moisturzing & protein in 1 treatments. Aubrey Organics GBP is a good 1 too, used that b4 & alot of ppl rave about it. My current fav is AO Blue Green Algae Hair Rescue Conditioning Mask, that stuff is high in protein as well as moisturzing. I think i will try the Aveda 1, never used that it before & it sounds good.

Thanks Lauren! I will look into your product suggestions. The protien/moisture combo sounds especially good.

Aveda's protein line is called Damage Remedy. It's god and saved my hair in a big way.

No problem brownee! And thank you for the name of the Aveda protein treatment, I think I will try to buy it this wkend. I will start using that weekly & see how that works b/c I think my hair needs some saving again. If worst comes to comes, I will break down & buy the emergencee. Wish me luck! :)

@B yeah I was happy to find that out too. Now i just want to see which one has more product in the tube, that will determine which one I get again..lol However I do agree with you about the matte finish- love it.
@Antithesis Im sure that bing looks great on you.
@Amina the song is still standing by monica.
@Lauren thanks so much I forgot about the emergency product. I did a video post a while back about the aveda damage remedy which is a great protein line. I love the treatment most of all and the shampoo has no sls. It makes my hair soft and so shiny LOVE AVEDA. Aveda will forever be a staple for me.
@Brownee I hope all is well with your tresses.
@TM Aubry organics is supposed to be great also. I have the honeysuckle at home but I haven't used that yet either..lol
@Lauren I hope everything works out with your hair.
thanks for reading and sharing everyone.

Hey Diva, lol my mane is in order (knock on wood). I just haven't done a protein treatment in forever! And since I've been plugging in the ceramic devil quite frequently I figured I'd engage in some preventative medicine.

And HOW many products do you have but don't use? LAWD! Lol I'm about to go shopping in ur medicine cabinet!

Emergencee is no joke! I won't use that on natural, may never bounce back lol. It did work for me way back when.

Aveda is good but not cost effective. Besides I still haven't forgiven them for discontinuing Sap Moss (probably never will). I'm leaning towards Aubrey Organics. Thx again guys!

Yes I agree with Brownee, the cost is no joke. So I broke down & ended up buying the entire Remedy Line at the Aveda store in the mall (the shampoo, condish & treatment) & it came out to be 80 bucks. Good thing I didn't order it on line. And why is the bigger treatment bottle $68 when the sm 1 is only $24? Neway, I still have Aubrey shampoos I need 2 use 1st lol.
O & I read great things about the Sap Moss line on other forums but yea, it looks like Aveda no longer sells that line. I wonder why? Never got a chance to try it. O well, more $ in my pocket I guess lol. Thanks again diva & brownee! :)

@Brownee I'm glad your hair is doing well and LOL @ "ceramic devil." Honestly I was going to do a video on the products that I have, specifically the ones I have never used but it was too much, I didn't want to take everything down and it was embarrassing.lol I have many my honey shild products with the tape still on it...it's a shame.
I have the Aubrey Honey suckle..I will probably use that next week.

@pndstzty Aveda introduced the Dry remedy line which replaced sap moss. I really like the dry remedy line as well. I purchased the $68 treatment and it certainly gives you much more product. Which Aubrey products do you use?
