Updates & Make TIME

Last night I washed my hair with the Honeybee Cleanser from My Honey Child, it is very similar to the Jamaican Island Cleanser & Conditioner from My Honey Child which I posted on previously, just a different scent. However, this time I mixed the shampoo with some of the silk amino acid and I have gloriously silky hair..lol. Love the acid! I used the honeyquat in my deep conditioner and my hair is both bouncy and shiny today.
Over the summer I wanted to go to Bliss Spa to get a facial but time got away from me and I never got to get my facial. This week I wanted to clean out my poors so I decided to see if I could squeeze excess oil from my face....(I have seen this on tv so I guess I thought that made me a pro). Anyway I not have a mark at the tip of my nose. The bruise isn't horrible but it is there and I can see it....so annoying. Moral of this story make time for yourself and pay a professional when you want certain services performed.
I already told you that I am behind on posts and reviews etc. I will try to be like Antithesis this weekend and schedule some posts in advance. Let me just give you a preview:
I have two mascara reviews coming up
I still need to post the pics from the Fashion week event I attended ( I know I'm super late on this one).
I have to take my maxiglide out of the box and USE IT..lol
More My Honey Child Products as well as Hairveda, Qhemet, She scent it,Aubrey Organics and many more.
Stay tuned and thanks for always checking me out.
Have a great weekend.

Have you tried any AO (Aubrey Organics) products yet? I was using other shampoos & condish b4 but now I'm going to swich back using AO again. I'm conflicted thou, not sure if I should use the AloeJojoba 1 or the Island Naturals combo. I'm a BIG FAN of the Island Naturals condish but never tried the shampoo yet. I want a really good organic/cone/ SLS free moistuzing shampoo & condish combo. I guess I will alternate (I aleady own the Alojojoba 1 & used them b4) btwn the 2 sets.

P.S. So after a talk w/ my stylist on Sat for my weekly wash, I broke down & ran out & picked up a big bottle of the Nexxus Emergencee treatment. I'm gonna start using it this wk b/c my hair needs some serious repair asap & that worked wonderful for me in the past. My hair wasn't as thin as it is now. So protein is my friend & I could never get 2 much of it b/c I'll always fine hair. But this will help it not look so thin & limp :)

Lauren Yes for the first time last night I pulled out my AO product which had been collecting dust. i used the Honeysuckly rose poo and conditioner. I really enjoyed it and I would buy it again, specifically the conditioner. The conditioner was really thick and creamy and it made my hair feel so soft. It is also free of all the bad things you mentioned.
DOnt worry I am sure your hair will be back in shape in no time. When I started my hair journey I really needed to watch it carefully to determine which product worked for me. DO you plan on sticking to natural products until you get things together?

Yes, I want to. That is my main goal & a reason why I stopped using the in-store enthnic brands like Motions & Nexxus & so forth. I've read on many hair foreums that natural & organic products are better for our hair (and the enviornment) in the long run. I'd rather have healthy hair 24/7 than to "coat" & temporaily fix it. That's why I started searching & using natural hair care products. For a long time I was just putting "grease" in it which had minieral oil as the 1st ingredient & I had no idea how bad it was for our hair b/c nobody told me. Then I started reading & doing reseach. Although my hair was longer I didn't realize I was just coating it with grease lol. I now read the ingredients in my products & know what they are & what they do. I just try to stay away from harsh chemicals since my hair is fragile as it is. Thnx for your concern & kind words on my journey back to healthy hair again. I will do whatever it takes.

BTW, have you ever heard or used Mill Creek natural products? I now buy my products from the VitaminShopee store & I was curious so I read the label & the ingredients sounded good. I heard good things about it so I brought a bottle of their Biotion Shampoo.

HI Lauren
I did a post a while back about my hair journey http://productjunkiediva.blogspot.com/2008/03/hair-journey-stage-1-assessment.html (not that you have to read it, lol just giving you the link just in case) and just like you I wanted answers so I searched the net and forums and started using better products. Once I used great products that helped so much. I air dry my hair also which helped a lot.
As for Mill Creek...I will show a pic at the end of my post tomorrow about this line.

Thank you for directing me to your hair journey story, it was insighful, thank you for sharing. I read it & I can honestly say I understand where you were coming from in wanting to know how to have & achieve healthier hair. You inspiring other woman like myself in helping them achieve that same goal. Thank you.

Awww Lauren thanks so much. I have been helped to really see that our hair can grow and be healthy and strong. It just takes doing the research and figuring out what works for us individually. It is an exciting journey so I am enjoying the ride :-). I still have to continue the series of my hair journey but I get so caught up in doing reviews that sometimes I forget to go back to the "hair journey" series, but I will start back soon.
As always thanks for reading.

Hey Diva, hope you had a great weekend. Ok so I have some questions & comments about hair products ofcourse lol. Now have you ever heard of or used products by treasured Locks? http://www.treasuredlocks.com/haircarprod.html
They are another hair care site that sells stuff for hair & body. I used & ordered stuff from them b4. I really liked & enjoyed their Herbal Hair Balm, it wasn't greasy, goes on light & its all natural. I just re-ordered another one & I RAELY EVER order things twice. I also like their SheaMoisture Shea Butter Leave In Condish, I can find this one @ my local ethnic hair store & I am on my 2nd bottle b/c I LOVE this stuff. Its thick & not greasy. Have you ever used any of thier products? Also what about products from hairveda? I saw you mentioned you have to do reviews on them. So which products did you buy & love from them b/c I am reading rave reviews on just about most of this line & idk what to get it lol. I read tons of rave reviews on the whipped (baggy) cream but y when I was reading the ingredients list some of them look suspect? Lol if idk wat an ingredient is in a product line i get nervous lol. Their Shea-aloe one sounds better to me. Idk, when you get a chance to inlighten me I'd appreciate it. Sorry this post is so long, maybe I'll e-mail u nxt time :) Thank you!

Lauren I have a bunch of hair veda products, it's probably easier to say what I don't have..lol seriously. U haven't used it all though, but from what I used I like so many moisture 24/7 moisture pro etc. the list goes on and on. I have the whipped baggy cream also, ummm it is probably not for me. I can only use that at certain times, it can get a little greasy even though you wouldn't think so because the product is like a cake frosting....smells great though. I will review it soon. In tomorrows post I will put a pic for you to see a little of my hair veda collection...its not a complete pic just a little preview.
