Growing Up & Hair Stuff

Most of us have come to a point in our lives when we realize that we just need to grow up. Putting our past behaviors behind and moving toward a new path may be difficult but it is often necessary. So after smelling The first perfume from Carol's Daughter, Pearl, I decided not only that I like the scent but I needed a more mature scent. I don't want to enter business meetings smelling like strawberries and buttercup frosting so growing up in the scent department was necessary. On Saturday I purchased Pearl, which is priced at $45.00 (for 2oz), and I am so pleased with that I have added this new fragrance to my collection. This is actually the only perfume in my scented collection because I generally hate that heavy scent of alcohol that accompanies so many of the fragrances and body spritzers on the market.
I also found this scent to be long lasting because I wash my hands often yet I was still able to smell the fragrance on my wrists. Good job Carol's Daughter you have a winner on your hands.
Have you smelled this fragrance?
Ingredients for Perl: Anise, Bergamot, Lemon, Verbena, Apricot, Peach, Jasmine, Rose, Ylang-Ylang, Fresh Aldehydes, Violet Leaves, Musk, Caramel, Vanilla.

Here is a quick video to show the consistency of three My Honey child products.

I use magnetic rollers when I roll my hair, which is just about every night. The metal clips are used to secure the rollers.

Great Post! Today is actually my bday and I am treating myself to this very "grown-up" scent. When I smelled Pearl in the ESSENCE mag last week I fell in love. It smells fantastic and so smooth.

Great Video by the way.

Thanks so much for posting the rollers! I actually plan on doing my first rollerset tomorrow, my wash day! I hope it turns out good. I will be wrapping my hair nightly though....how do you sleep with all the curlers in?

The ingredients in pearl sound great, I love it! I too hate the excessive alcohol in perfumes, but i have found love in burberry (stole from a friend LOL) and amor amor....very nice n subtle IMO

I understand what you mean about having a grown up scent. I wouldn't consider myself a "grown up" just yet, but I do need to find a good scent for my interviews and such that won't have my interviewers reminiscing about their childhood.

Oh, I smelled a sample in the December Essence. But it was hard to tell whether it would go with my body chemistry. Good to know it's long lasting!

I have not smelled that fragrance but you've got me yearning for it now! I agree with the whole wanting to grow up bit. I've always been into "mature" scents. And your hair is lookin' fab!

Ren- thanks!!!!
Jay I get the impression that you have a nice little collection of scents at your place. I'm going to have to make an appointment with you :-).
Jmilz86 no problem at all. I hope your roller set came out well. The rollers just really don't bother me at all so I sleep like a baby.
I have to look into the scents you mentioned..thanks
@Deja Vu lol exactly. I totally understand.
@TravelDiva if you go into sephora or any store that sells Perl you should just apply a few squirts then wear it throughout the day to see if it agrees with you.
@B Thanks Diva.
@Amina WHen you smell it, tell me what you think. I still have not gotten to Karen's and i love in NY...shame on me..lol
Thanks for reading everyone.

I received my Dec 2008 Essence in the mail yesterday and it had a sample of Pearl by Carol's Daughter and it is lovely. I definitely plan to purchase a bottle.
