Sometimes drugstore brands are winners?

I have seen the Eucerin moisturizing cream a million times in stores and I passed it up each time. My sister purchased a 16oz jar for me so I gave it a try. The cream is very thick, I mean you could practically plaster a wall with this stuff. Maybe it's not that thick but you get the point, it is definitely not one of those runny lotions.
The ingredient list includes two of my hair no no's petrolatum, and mineral oil but since it is on my skin I won't worry too much about clogged pores.
The 16oz jar of this unscented, paraben free cream costs $11.00 but you can find smaller jars for less money at your local drugstore. When I apply this cream there is no need to reapply for the entire day, seriously this stuff stays with you. I only have to reapply on my hands and that's because I wash them so frequently. A little goes a very long way, so don't think that you need a handful of this product to see results. I will purchase Eucerin when this never ending jar finally runs out.

I use Eucerin in one of my homemade. I used to work in a pharmacy and the pharmacist would let me make my own concoctions if I got a prescription for it! It was excellent for treating my hands because they used to break out from washing them so much.

Hey, the original moisturizing lotion (the creamy version of the cream)is a little easier to apply, less thick and still stays with you all day. I use the thick stuff in the winter and the creamy in the summer. It's the best!!!

@TM it seems like you had a great deal with that pharmacist :-)
@Jamie thanks for the info!!!
@Denae I will look for the creamy version because I would love to try that one as well.
Thanks

Diva, I swear you're scaring me. I never suffer from dry skin_ ever! Up until about 2-3wks ago, I noticed my skin is suddenly in need of more moisture [except my face, can we say crisco?]. And POOF, here come this post! Lol

I remember my grandma using this when I was a kid. Lemme find this stuff is really the truff! I'll look for that creamy version Ms. Denae mentioned.

I love this stuff! This is the only drugstore cream/lotion that I have found that hydrates my skin in the winter. BTW, I found your blog through another blog.
