Magazines will be the death of me. A few months ago I was flipping through a magazine, I think it was Jewel, and once I hit the beauty section I was oh so happy because they were featuring hair products I had never heard of. After reading their reviews I was determined to get the GHD Remedy Cream generally sold for $27. I told myself I would go to Sephora by the end of the week and pick it up, but my trip was in vein because it was not being sold at Sephora. Trying not to panic I thought of the backup stores that could possibly have this product but nope, no remedy cream there either. Just imagine me on a city street breaking out in a cold sweat because I couldn't find the product I just knew I would have in my hands that Friday. I searched the Internet and came up with a bunch of seedy sites that I knew would never see my credit card number so I had no idea how I would get the cream. Finally, I was in a new beauty supply store and there it was on the shelf in all of its glory looking down at me from the top shelf.
This remedy cream is supposed to "de-stress your hair", and prevent breakage. The most impressive write up about this product is that it is supposed to target and strengthen your strands where they need the most help. I thought well what a smart little product. I tried it and it does bond to my hair without any sticky buildup or crunchiness added to my strands. Something about my hair
I am really not a person with tons of split ends but if I want to find one I know where to look, my front bang area. I have no idea why that place is split end central for me but it is. I have been applying GHD to my bang and viola no longer can I easily find a split on my bangs. Now I do use quite a few things on my hair but I will go ahead and attribute my new no split zone to GHD remedy cream, now sold at Sephora ONLINE only.
Have you tried this product? How do you keep split ends at bay?

Haven't tried this product. But I might give it a try since I have seen it at the professionals beauty supply store here. Was thinking of trying their flat iron too.
Since my hair is perm-free, it's a lot harder for me to notice my split ends. I mostly keep my hair twisted up. My hair does get tangled and knotted up a lot so I know I have some splits. Haven't found a miracle product yet.
today i learned that even hair stresses. interesting concept.
@Jewells Yes your natural hair looked so cute on your vlog post. Are you using great conditioners to get rid of the tangles? Have you tried the MOP leave in conditioner? That baby will leave your hair soft and smooth. Not sold at sephora but see if you can get a sample at your local BSS.
@Don- you always make me laugh. I love that a guy reads this blog..lol
Calling out Mr. Fresh..where did you go?

I just get a trim every six weeks. Hmm, maybe that's why my hair won't grow longer than a bob. :(
Yikes every six weeks. Does it look like you really need it every 6 weeks or is your stylist just used to cutting every 6 weeks? I used to get a trim just about every 6 weeks also and when I stopped doing it so frequently my growth was apparent.
just a thought.

I've never heard of this product, but I should try it because I do suffer from split ends. I'm in desperate need of a trim right now!
i havent heard of this product either but im intriged b/c i swear every strand on my head is split. and i JUST got a trim.
@BGG I knew that other ghd products were out there but this particular one I would have never known about had it not been for that article I read.
@Antithesis, do you use heat on your hair? Maybe if you make a few changes you will see a difference.

Awww, thanks for the hair compliment, PJD!
What is MOP??
I guess I am using good conditioners...lol. I think the problem has been that I have always lathered up my whole head instead of just washing the roots. It causes my hair to tangle. Then I've been dry combing, taking my twists out from the roots instead of the ends up. I've just been going about things all wrong. Six years later, I am just finding all this out.
Now that I've learned, my hair is feeling pretty happy.
@Jewells, Mop stands for Modern Organic products, the line consists of shampoos, conditionera and treatments. All of their products include organic items. There is a special division of the line that inlcudes sulfur free shampoos! Gotta love that.
Your local bss may sell the products.

i've never tried that product either. To keep split ends at bay, i usually do herbal rinses with rosemary and horsetail :)
Nywele,
If you would like to tell us about your herbal rinse I would be happy to post it.
