Moisture to the Rescue

You may remember the post where I told you that I wanted to apply a protein treatment to my hair to strengthen it and I was frightened when it seemed a little too hard. Well the product that I applied to soften and moisturize my hair was the MOP (Modern Organic Products)Extreme Moisture. This semi organic product includes certified organic apple juice, bananas and goldenseal. Apples are supposed to act as a humectants while goldenseal should act as a sealant and hold the moisture in. I can’t say whether or not each ingredient is doing exactly what the label states it should be doing, but what I do know if that after using this product my hair is silky soft. However, my hair does not have the shine factor that should come from the inclusion of goldenseal, but the way my hair feels is worth buying this product many times over.
I paid $14.99 for this wonderful moisturizer.
What is the most you would pay for a hair product that really does work?

I paid $50.00 once for a conditioner that made my hair crappy-it was kerestase Chrome effect. I would never buy that crap again. The most I would ever pay for any hair product is $20.0. Why? Because great products don't necessarily mean high price.

If the product is that good, I'd be willing to really pull out my wallet.

@Dominican Enigma thanks for sharing your experience I have had my eye on Kerestase but I have not been able to locate the exact product that I want. I will let you know what I think after I try it.
@Antithesis, will you really leave us hanging..what did you find for $20?
@Mr Fresh and Fab..huh? lol
@ Eliana and Jewells you two seem to be on the same page, or at least in the same book.

I'd turn my wallet inside out for a hair product that actually delivered on it's promises.

I would pay a ransom. Since I've started becoming "frugal" I've been doing my 'do at home. Let's just say that I'm noticing more hair in the comb. I need a protein treatment, like yesterday. :(

@ PBW I understand where you are coming from :-)
@Frugalista shedding is fine, but do you think you are experiencing breakage? Do you deep condition? Maybe you want to try the Mop protein treatment that I posted recently. Or maybe you would like an at home protein mix...if I get some info on a cheap at home solution I will let you know.
@Boutique Mix Fashion thanks..there is a purse on your site that I need to purchase :-)
@Fresh and Fab thanks I am still working on the new look.
Thanks for reading!!!
