The Benefits of Rose Water
Moisturizes the hair and makes it more manageable
Adds shine to your hair (I got a little shine from it but not too much)
It can also be used as an astringent to cleanse the face (I have not tried this yet).
I love how it has been making my hair feel the past few days so I will continue to buy it. I am using the brand Kama Ayurveda which can be purchased online for $22.00. This particular brand of rose water is steam distilled which is done to purify the product.
How do you use rose water?

i have heard of rose water. do you know anyone with natural hair who uses it? what are their thoughts? i know you use aloe vera juice but have you tried aloe vera gel yet. i would recommend it for you to use for braid-outs and twist-outs.
I'm a napptural but I've never tried Rose Water in the hair. Hmmm.....that's an idea. I do however make a blend with it to splash on my face on those hot Floridian days. But since antithesis brought it up, it would probably be divine for a twist-out!
i've never tried rose water...but i think i need to head to whole foods to get some!
Interestingly enough, i use Rose water as a substitute to lotion in the summer! Have been doing this for some years now. its not too oily and keeps you hyradted through out the day. Give it a try!
i've never tried rosewater either.
it is funny because yesterday i was at myashas.com and she has a rinse with rosewater..silk rose elixir
i will swing by the organic store to see if they carry some
thank you for a great review..
I never heard about rose water, but it sounds like its a good and useful tool. I'll have to scoop some. thanks.

Your going to love both as a moisturizer...I mix mine together both there both great !!!
wow, can you mix them together? i am so lazy with my hair. i am telling you my new regimen with the rose water on my face has my skin looking 10 times better and i dont think it has been 2 weeks yet!
@Antithesis At the moment I don't know of any naturals that use it but I will send out an email today and get back to you. It does have the consistency of water so are you concerned with shrinkage etc?
I have used the crushed up pure aloe from the plant in my hair but not the gel purchased from the store. If the gel is 100% pure then it would be the same thing as using the plant itself.
@B I just started using it on my face last night and I like what I am feeling so far. I used to use a rose facial mask from Fresh that wasnt bad at all.
@RenRen well since you are always working on faces it may work well as an astringent when you are cleaning of a client's face.
@Miss Moss I will try that ...love that idea THANKS!!!
@Amina thanks I will have to stop by her page to check it out.
@Jamie hey..your contest is so nice.... yes if you get the rose water tell me what you think.
@Tracyee I was going to mix them but I think I need a funnel to get the rosewater in with the aloe because I don't want to waste a drop..lol
@Justme- Yes you can certainly mix them together I just didn't want to spill any so I have been spraying them separately..lol They feel great together. Your hair is awesome so keep doing what you are doing. I used it on my face today and last night and I like it. I think I wrote a comment on your page recently telling you that your skin looked great...off so squirt some rose water on my face now..lol
Never knew rose water could be a benefit for natural hair. I've only ever heard about its use in regards to spritzing the face.
I'll have to try it, ditto for the Aloe Vera.
Fly girl When I said my natural must have I meant that the rosewater is a natural product. I actually have relaxed hair...sorry for the confusion. I am on the hunt to find naturals using rose water in their hair so I will keep you posted.

i bought my little 3.99 bottle of rosewater at the local organic store...
i put in my spritz bottle and will let you know how i like it...
it smells soooooooooooo good!!
@Amina I hope you like it on your hair. Here is the good thing though, if it does nothing for your hair you can always use it as a toner for your face. I have been applying it to my face after cleansing and I LOVE it.
thanks for reading.

where did you buy the rosewater?
Anonymous the rosewater came from http://www.alcanz.com/alcanz/ but I must say this is a more expensive brand so you may want to look at your local health food store to see if it's cheaper. However I do really like this particular brand.
