Hair grease

Happy Friday Everyone ( will add the picture later my camera is going crazy)
Today I will review yet another hair product. I know, I know, I have been posted on so much hair stuff this week and that is because I have tons of it and I think most readers are snoozing so I better sneak these in and then bring the variety back next week. lol
So good old fashioned hair grease, how many of us still use it? I am not into slathering grease on my scalp but there is a hairveda grease that I really like.
The $7.99 Almond Glaze grease is a sweet scented natural grease that can really get my hair to stay put. It is not a pomade but I do use it from time to time on my sides to keep the hair in place and it works. This product is also designed to soften new growth for those who are stretching between relaxers.
Here are the ingredients:Sweet Almond Butter, Sweet Almond oil, Ricinus communis Seed oil, Beeswax, L. Laurate, Copernica Cerifera Wax, Fragrance. 4oz. And it's paraben free.

I think I will use this grease to seal after I moisturize. Do any of you use grease to seal in the moisture or just straight oils?
Thanks for reading.

You know I'm loving my coconut oil these days, so I can just use that and save money! It's all about simplicity in my world! LOL

But I do have something in the cabinet that I use for when it gets really dry and I have had it for two years at least.

Grease tends to weigh my hair down no matter how light it seems to be...I think oils are my way to go! GNC here I come.

Amina I am so happy you placed your order. i will be checking your blog to see what you purchased. I hope you enjoy everything.
Tami I still use coconut oil in my pre poos, it's great stuff.
Mrs. YF yes you can get some great oils from GNC and the vitamin shop.
Jmilz it may take a while to ship but many of the products are worth it. However I think Oyin takes much longer..lol I'm still waiting.

i use shea butter mostly now. i dont really "seal" though.

I really think I need to start paying more attention to my hair so I appreciate the hair products. This is one subject that I am totally clueless on.

I order some hairveda products, and waiting for my order to come in. I just went back onto hairveda website and order several sample size of her products to try. I heard some good reviews, but I want to see what will work in my hair before I order the big sizes.

Amina I'm glad you got those products.
Justme your hair looks great already so if you did even more for it WOW you would probably be knee length :-)
Chelle samples are the way to go! This will really help you to see if it is worth your money.

The Renew body wash and body lotion both smell wonderful!  I love the bamboo and honey scent of the body wash and the uplifting lemongrass and ginger scent of the lotion.  The body wash works into a rich, creamy lather that leaves your skin feeling clean and doesn’t dry out your skin.  My husband has dry skin and likes that it doesn’t strip his skin of moisture and that the scent is gender neutral so he can use it too.  The lotion melts into your skin without feeling oily or greasy for great hydration through out the day.  I found that I didn’t have to keep reapplying the lotion during the day to keep my skin feeling soft and supple and that the scent doesn’t interfere with any other perfumes or body mists you might use daily.

After shampooing and conditioning, I massaged a quarter-sized amount of Giovanni Direct into my hair (when it comes to most hair products, less is more!) and began to detangle with a wide-tooth comb. The first thing I liked right away was how great it smelled. Most of all, my hair was much more manageable and easier to comb. After my hair was completely styled and dry, it was unbelievably soft! Gone was the tangled, straw-like mass that I was usually left to contend with. I was more than ecstatic to say the least!
