Aveda Damage Remedy Review

I washed my hair on Friday with the complete Aveda Damage Remedy line, shampoo, treatment and then the conditioner. The shampoo actually felt good on my hair, it felt like it was cleaning it but not so harsh that my hair felt squeaky as if it had been stripped clean. The treatment felt like butter on my normally dry, course hair. The treatment is supposed to remain on your hair for roughly 5 minutes. I did not use a timer but I had on the radio and I kept the treatment on for the entire Aaron Hall song "I miss you" and about 1 additional minute. I estimate that it was on for about 6-7 minutes. I suspect the treatment is really the secret weapon behind this line, it felt like it was moisturizing my hair. The conditioner felt great also, then I rinsed everything out and hoped for the best. I was able to get through my hair easily as I prepared to roll it. I did not put anything on my hair, not coconut oil, no leave-in products- NOTHING, because I wanted to see how well this product would work on my hair. I plan on using this system for a while just to see if I feel like my hair benefits long term from this product.
Remember I air dry so no heat for me, I should also mention that I am 7 weeks post relaxer. The products certainly tamed my new growth, my hair was very soft and easy to comb through.
So what was my hair like the next day? Watch the video below to find out!
Please let me know if you have any trouble watching this video, I am trying to decide between uploading to blogger or using Youtube.

Thanks for the review. It sounds like a good regimen. Due to coloring, stress, and the dryness I often get with wearing natural hairstyles, my hair has experienced a bit of damage as of lately. I'm eager to hear how this product will work for you after an extended period of time. Be sure to keep me posted!

P.S. YOU'VE BEEN TAGGED! If you want to participate, more details are on the blog :o)

yay, your hair looks nice even with stretching your relaxer. hopefully this line works out for you. i hate when something works really well the first couple of times and then on the third time it's not the same.

aaw. It looks like it did the job! When I went natural, i used it religiously and my hair became stronger. I wished I had known about this product when I had relaxed hair.
anyways, enjoy your goodies

@Virtuous Blue IT does seem good, but I will see how it works over time, and yes I will keep everyone posted. Thanks for the tag.
@Antithesis thanks, stretching can be a pain sometimes but I think it is worth it in the long run. Also this product really made my hair smooth so the new growth is not a problem to comb right through. Let's see if I am still singing that song in the next 2-3 weeks..lol
@The Frugalista thanks you. I soooo hope this works for you.
@Nywele I still hear of many naturals using this product. Stay tuned because a special announcement will come this week just for you naturals.
@PBW not a problem, if you buy it I can't wait for your review.
@Thanks DE the videos are fun for me. Well I still have hurdles that I am trying to get over with my hair but it really has come a long way. I will post more about that later this week.
@Justme, yes what's up with the flat curl??? LOL It still had body though and it was soft but I didn't sleep in those rollers for nothing..grrrrr
As always thanks for reading ladies.
